"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!

Hmm, try to plan the proportions very carefully. His body doesn't translate too well to human proportions, which can easily lead to certain pieces looking too big or small. The actual armor pieces aren't very difficult to design though, since they don't have complex curves.
I used 3mm sintra for the body pieces and cardstock+fiberglass+resin+smoothcast for the helmet. It's a time consuming method, but the end product is very durable.
